Cupid's Valentine

Supplies needed:

I use Paintshop Pro 9,

other versions can be used too.

Lokas Software - 3D shadow HERE

Alien Skin Xenofex2 - Constellation HERE

The scrap kit Valentine by Bluedream Designs HERE

My word art

Font: Carpenter HERE

 

Supplies HERE

 

 

Open frame 4 in your PSP

Copy the frame by SHIFT + d

Close the original frame

Resize the frame

Image > Resize > 80%

 Drop shadow

V&H: 1

Opacity: 70

Blur: 5

 

Add a new layer

Move it to the bottom

Floodfill with white,

so you can see what you are making

 

Add a paper below the frame

Use the Eraser tool to remove excess paper

 

Duplicate the frame layer in the Layer's palette

Move it towards the bottom

Adjust > Blur > Gaussian Blur > 20

 

Add embellishments and my word art

Drop shadow

V&H: 1

Opacity: 70

Blur: 5

 

Add a tube

Lokas 3D drop shadow x 2

  Add your name and copyright

Drop shadow on your name as above

 

Merge all layers - if you are not animating

Save as .png

 

Animation:

Duplicate the tube so you have three of them

 

Use the Freehand Selection tool

and draw around the wings

Constellation on tube layer 1

Repeat on tube layer 2 and 3

Click on Random seed each time

 

Hide (x out in the layers palette) all tube layers except tube 1

Merge > Merge invisible

Copy (CTRL + c)

 

Go to AS

Paste CTRL + v

 

Go to PSP

Undo

Photobucket

 

Hide tube layer 1

Unhide tube layer 2

Merge > Merge invisible

Copy (CTRL + c)

Paste as Current after current

Photobucket

 

Go back to PSP and repeat with tube layer 3

 

Change the speed of the tag in AS

CTRL + a

Right click

Frame properities > 20

 

Save as .gif
