Supplies needed:

I use Paintshop Pro 9,

other versions can be used too.

Alien Skin Xenofex 2 – Constellation HERE

The scrap kit Sea Life by Bel Vidotti HERE

WSL_mask3 from WeeScotsLass HERE

Font: Fish in the Bathroom HERE

 

 

 

Open 500 x 500 white

You can resize later if you want to

 

Add a light coloured paper

Layers> Load/save mask > Load mask from disk

> WLS_Mask3

Layers Palette > Merge > Merge group

 

Add the sea life wire

Layers palette > Duplicate

Change them around to your liking

 

Add a frame

Magic wand - click inside the frame

Add Paper07

Selections > Modify > Expand > 3

Selections > Invert

Delete

Deselect (CTRL + d)

Drop shadow on the frame

V&H: 1

Opacity: 70

Blur: 4

 

Add embellishments 

Resize them as you see fit 

Drop shadow

V&H: 1

Opacity: 70

Blur: 4

 

Add your tube

Drop shadow

V&H: 1

Opacity: 70

Blur: 4

Layers palette > Duplicate x2

So you have three tubes

(Skip this if you're not animating)

 

Go to the top tube layer

Freehand selection tool -

draw around the light parts of the hair

Xenofex - Constellation

Go to second tube layer

Click on Random Seed

Repeat with third tube layer

 

Add your name and copyright

Drop shadow on your name as above

 

Merge all layers - if you are not animating!

Save as .png

 

Animation:

 

Hide (x out in the layers palette) tube layer 2 and 3

Merge > Merge invisible

Copy (CTRL + c)

 

Go to AS

Paste CTRL + v

 

Go to PSP

Undo

Photobucket

 

Hide tube layer 1

Unhide tube layer 2

Merge > Merge invisible

Copy (CTRL + c)

Paste as Current after current

Photobucket

 

Repeat with tube layer 3

 

Change the speed of the tag in AS

Select all (CTRL + a)

Right click

Frame properities > 25

Save as .gif
