Supplies needed:
I use Paintshop Pro 9,
other versions can be used too.

Trick or treat blog train 1st of Oct HERE

EyeCandy4000 – Gradient Glow HERE

Alien Skin Xenofex 2 – Constellation HERE 

WSL_mask236 HERE

Font: Enland Hand DB HERE

 


Open 500x550 white

You can resize later if necessary

 

Add a new layer

Floodfill a colour from your tube

  

Layers > Load/Save mask > Load mask from disk > WSL_mask236

Layers palette >  Merge > Merge group 

 

Add embellishments

If you add gradient glow on some of the embellishments

Drop shadow
V&H: 3
Opacity: 75
Blur: 5

 

Add your tube

Drop shadow as above

 

Duplicate your tube layer twice, so you have three tube layers

Use the Freehand selection tool and draw around the flowers

Add Constellation on tube layer 1

Add Constellation on tube layer 2

Click on Random seed

Add Constellation on tube layer 3

Click on Random seed

Deselect (CTRL + d)

 

Add copyright

 

Add your name

Drop shadow as above

 

If you’re not animating, do not duplicate the tube layer

Merge all layers
Save as .png

Animation:
Hide (x-out in layers palette) tube layer 2 and 3
Hide orange background layer 2 and 3
Layers palette > Merge > Merge invisible
Copy (CTRL + C)
Past in Animation Shop (AS)
Go back to PSP
Undo

Unhide tube layer 2, hide tube layer 1 and 3
Unhide orange background layer 2, hide background layer 1 and 3
Layers palette > Merge > Merge invisible
Copy (CTRL + C)
In AS, paste after current

Unhide orange background layer 3, hide background layer 1 and 2
Layers palette > Merge > Merge invisible
Copy (CTRL + C)
In AS, paste after current
 
Save as .gif
