Fairy Winter Wishes

This tutorial was entirely created by me,

This tutorial was created on 29th November 2008

 

 

 

Supplies needed:

I use Paintshop Pro 9,

other versions can be used too.

Lokas Software – 3D shadow HERE

FTU scrap kit Winter Wishes from Clairey’s Desingz HERE

Font: Scrap Cursive HERE

(PTU but cheap)

 

 

Open Snowflake frame

Shift + D

Close the original frame

You can resize later if you want to

 

Click inside the frame

Selections > Modify > Expand > 5

Add a paper underneath the frame

Selections > Invert

Delete

Add Snow_overlay

Layers palette > duplicate x2

so you have three snow layers

Move the three layers so it will snow when you animate the tag

Go to snow layer 1 > delete

Repeat with snow layer 2 and 3

Deselect (CTRL + d)

Drop shadow on frame

H and V: 1

Opacity: 70

Blur: 5

 

Add embellishments

H and V: 1

Opacity: 75

Blur: 5

 

Add a tube

Lokas 3D shadow

Add your copyright

 

Add your name

Drop shadow as above

 

Save as .png (if not animated)

 

 

Animation:

Hide (x out in the layers palette) all snowflakes layers except layer 1

Merge > Merge invisible

Copy (CTRL + c)

 

Go to AS

Paste CTRL + v

 

Go to PSP

Undo

Photobucket

 

Hide snowflakes layer 1

Unhide snowflake layer 2

Merge > Merge invisible

Copy (CTRL + c)

Paste as Current after current

Photobucket

 

Go back to PSP and repeat with snowflake layer 3

 

Select all (CTRL + a)

Right click

Frame properties > Speed > 30 

 

Save as .gif
